Seaburn is a seaside resort in Sunderland and lies within the historic County Durham. The seafront is home to a promenade, two amusement arcades, among other things. There are plenty of activities to enjoy with the family.
The area hosts a wide range of restaurants, including Italian, Indian and Chinese, so there is something for everyone. Furthermore, there are many fish and chip shops as well as pubs and coffee shops.
Seaburn was a favourite place of L.S. Lowry, famous for his ‘matchstick men’ painting scenes of the industrial districts in North West England. The area is also close to Sunderland A.F.C stadium Roker Park. In addition to this, the Sunderland International Airshow is held on the Seaburn coast, with a wide range of aircraft on display.
